Gail Worley of The Worley Gig and G.
Today is a very special day! The Worley Gig, one of my favorite blogs, turns 7 today! On a daily basis, The Worley Gig gives you a wealth of information on art, music, books, items made out of bacon, cool pink things and pop culture. As a blogger myself, I can tell you first hand how much time and devotion it takes to maintain a blog and I would like to wish The Worley Gig many happy returns. Stop by The Worley Gig and show some love. Cheers to Gail and here’s a toast to the next 7 years and beyond!

According2g would like to wish a very happy birthday to the legendary Gail Worley. She’s an extremely gifted writer, Reiki Master, my partner in crime in going to so many cool New York art functions and she’s my BFF!
We are both so creative, we have started a series of fake bands. Two of our most recent fake bands are:
Ex-Boyfriend Imposter. The first single was to be called “Better than Asphault.”
After that fake band broke up, we started another one called I Heart Art. The album was to be titled “Random Naked Chicks.”
I wish Gail many more happy years of light, love and of course, fake band creations with me!
Steely Dan - Live August 3, 4, 10 and 11th!
I am not able to attend these shows due to other commitments, but for a great review of the show, please click here.

Please click here and show her some birthday love.
If you haven’t seen Anvil! The Story of Anvil, I highly recommend it. It’s a documentary of the heavy metal band Anvil who, despite tough times and virtual obscurity for over 25 years, continue to rock! This movie is such an inspiration to never give up your dreams, no matter what! I went to an exclusive screening of the film in the East Village in Manhattan with Gail of the awesome blog www.worleygig.com. We were fortunate to not only see the documentary, but were treated to a live set by the rockers after the movie was over. If that’s not enough, Chris Martin of the band Coldplay was in attendance and he was gracious enough to pose for a picture with me. Pix of me with Chris Martin as well as pictures of me with Robb Reiner, Anvil’s drummer and “Lips” Kudlow, Anvil’s lead singer, after the jump.
